About the event

Join the Vale Local nature Partnership and Bumblebee Conservation Trust's conservation officer Tom Bucher-Flynn for a field day at Lavernock point. Attendees will be on the lookout for one of Wales's rarest Bumblebees The Shrill Carder Bee. Attendees will also learn all about bumblebees' life cycle, catching and identifying bees in the field, and learn all about Beewalk: the Trust's citizen science monitoring programme.

This event is suitable for everyone including absolute beginners in bumblebee identification and recording. Please be aware the field day requires a basic level of mobility due to uneven ground and narrow paths and styles.
